What to Expect from a Holistic Nutritionist

Holistic Nutrition is a special combination of modern science and time-tested wisdom, based on the philosophy that each person has unique nutrition requirements.  A Holistic Nutritionist will:

  • Focus on the client as a whole, taking into consideration diagnosed illnesses, health conditions, lifestyle, family life, past traumas, family medical history, injuries, and budget  

  • Provide a customized client care plan that includes recommendations for:

    • Diet, including nutrient-dense whole foods

    • Whole food supplements (if needed)

    • Lifestyle, including de-stressing techniques

    • Mind-body-emotional connection

First off, let's be clear - this isn't another fad diet that you follow for 3 months and then go back to your old eating habits. And there is no calorie counting allowed!  This is about building a custom nutrition plan that works for you, and then holding you accountable to that plan in order to reach your health goals.  All whilst building sustainable healthy eating habits that become part of your everyday life and routine.  We also encompass a holistic approach and focus on external habits that affect your well-being such as lifestyle and the mind-body-emotional connection.

We Follow the 80/20 Approach to Eating

80% of the time you fuel your body with well-balanced and nutrient dense whole food meals, while 20% of the time you get to enjoy life eating out with friends, baking with your kids, or giving in to your favorite guilty pleasure - that's the key to healthy long-term nutrition habits.  Of course, if you have a specific illness your percentages may be adjusted accordingly, but even then, we believe that enjoying food equals a joyful life!

What's Included in the Program

  • 1 x 60 minute one-on-one nutrition consultation to develop your customized nutrition plan which includes recommendations for dietary habits, supplements (if needed), lifestyle, and emotional well-being

  • 2 x 30 minute one-on-one follow-up nutrition consultations to adjust your plan and get you closer to your end goal

  • Weekly email sent each Friday with healthy eating habit building techniques and information about the latest and greatest in the nutrition world such as:

    • best ways to stay hydrated

    • nutrition myth-busters

    • what an adaptogen is and what one is right for you

    • what foods help promote better sleep

    • Learn about the various vitamins and minerals - how much you need a day, why you need them, and how to incorporate them into your diet

  • Each Friday when you send in your weekly accountability sheet to show your progress, you'll get a response with personalized feedback and support to help you overcome the hurdles so you can stay on track

Consultations will be held the week of March 4.  Follow-ups will be held the week of April 1, week of May 1

3 month investment

Nutrition Consultation One-on-One

We provide customized nutrition plans, and make various recommendations on diet, supplements, lifestyle, and the body-mind-emotional connection.  Here are the steps for your one-on-one consultation.

  1. 60 min consultation - In person or video conference assessment which includes a medical history, symptoms, food diary, lifestyle habits and assesses the client's readiness to chage

  2. 30 min recommendation follow-up - 3 days later a 30-minute phone conversation to discuss the recommendations suggested, answer questions, and schedule a follow-up session

  3. Book follow-up sessions - We recommend a follow-up session 4-6 weeks after the initial consultation.  We will discuss progress, address hurdles, and continue to built on your recommendations to help you reach your health goals.
